Mugshot is incredibly fragile
I mean, fragile in its social arrangements. Here's one recent example: some wise guy added a feed of Fedora People to the group "Fedora". Now my stacker is full of undesirable material. My first reaction was to quit the Fedora group. My second reaction was to know who I have to thank for it. Surprise, surprise: it's impossible to tell. Moreover, members of the group are equal (and are impossible to eject, even for the original owner). So... the right course of action appears to be to kill the feed. They won't know who done it, and if they do, they won't be able to do anything about it. I am not a jerk enough to actually experiment with it, and the group is likely have someone who can access the Mugshot backend directy. But still... Long way to go, folks.

Same thing happened with the GNOMErs group, where someone added the Planet GNOME feed. I already subscribe to both that and Fedora people in my RSS reader. Bit of a problem.

The ability to add feeds to Mugshot is a misfeature. Restricting it to a moderator or group creator would help, I don't see where having someone's preferred reading popping up at me builds a community, mod or no.

Mugshot needs to be about what real people post to it, including the ridicule that can result. This is the only way the signal-to-noise ratio gets to be sane. And S/N is very important when you're essentially "push"ing content (OMG 1997).

I've seen an actual discussion on a Mugshot link *once*.

There's a whole plan for this not implemented yet, but I did the simplest part today which is to show when a change happens and blame it on someone. Should be live on the site within a few days.
