Practical uses of anime

This story happened exactly one year ago, at Blackrock 05. It's where "we" (former Neon club) go every year for the Labor day. In 2004, a father and a son in a diesel F-250 visited our camp, hung around being annoying, and allegedly swiped some of our water. We called them "Bigger Tom" and "Smaller Tom". In 2005, they came by when I was watching Tenchi OVA. One guy brought a PlayStation 2 and a TV, so I used that setup to watch what I grabbed in a roadside Fry's in Scramento. I wanted to determine if I ought to buy the rest on the way back. As my mates alleged later, Toms approached me and stared blankly at the screen. I growled at them, and they left - presumably shocked. I was preoccupied with the anime, so I do not remember much of that. This year, we moved our camping trip a couple of wheeks up and thus avoided Toms and obnoxious Burning Man visitors. Which was probably a good thing, as I did not have any anime in the truck.
